Welcome to the brand new Loop Studios!
After four years of dedication and hard work, we’re thrilled to unveil our brand new recording studio! Loop Studios are based at Vernon Mill, a Stockport landmark that’s full of character. The studio space itself is more than just (finely crafted) walls and (state of the art) equipment – it’s a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of human connection. As musicians ourselves, this journey to build the ultimate creative haven has already been epic. From the early plans to the finishing touches, from the bespoke acoustic baffles to the recycled flooring, every nail hammered and every cable connected has been a step towards our shared dream.
But the road to this moment has had its fair share of challenges. We navigated through a global pandemic, embracing uncertainty and all sorts of obstacles with unwavering determination. Amidst it all, we’ve experienced some of life’s most profound chapters – we both became fathers and also had to bid farewell to some cherished loved ones. These experiences have shaped not only our personal lives but also our fabulous studio, infusing every corner with precious memories.
A special shout-out goes to the late, great Uncle Mike, who was a guiding light in this endeavour. His wisdom, practical skills, dry humour and steadfast support were the cornerstones upon which our studio was built. We lost him tragically in May this year, but his spirit will live on in every note that reverberates through these walls. This one’s for you, Mike!
